The substation is inclusive of one reactor of 80 MVAR .
The substation will be connected with Jamia and KMT 380kv Substations with 380kv underground Cables.
This Substation will supply the Power to the Central areas & down Town of Jeddah City and enhance the power Grid capability in those areas. |

Engineering, Design, procure, supply and deliver all equipments and materials to the WORK SITE, construct, install, test and commission the extension of Sharourah Power Plant by:
- Adding two [2] Gas Turbine Generator Units by 33.996MW, their associated auxiliaries and Balance of Plant [B.O.P.] as GTG Unit # 1 and GTG Unit # 2 for Project Portion 1.
- Adding one [1] Gas Turbine Generator Unit of 16.998MW, its associated auxiliaries and Balance of Plant [B.O.P.] as GTG Unit # 3 for Project Portion 2.
The Balance of Plant includes, Fuel tanks, Fuel treatment, Water treatment, Compressed Air system, Fire fighting, HVAC, Cranes, Civil Works, Switchgear building unloading bays, Electrical works includes GSU transformers, 33 & 4.16 kV Switchgear, Cabling, complete I&C including DCS, CEMS and other instrumentation works. |
